Netflix India added one more thrilling drama series to their roster and something viewers can possibly add to their ‘binge-worthy’ list.
Trailer of actress Huma Qureshi starrer Leila released recently.
Directed by Deepa Mehta, Leila is a dystopian drama set in the future, revolving around a mother [Qureshi] who is in search for a daughter.
The trailer suggest the invasion of a cult called ‘Aryavarta’ that strictly dictates the order of society and opposition of any kind by the citizens could leads to serious consequences.
The six-episode series also stars Siddharth Suryanarayan, Rahul Khanna, Seema Biswas, Akash Khurana, Sanjay Suri, and Arif Zakaria, among others.

This is not the first dystopian drama on Netflix India. Last year, the streaming platform launched Ghoul set in a similar world in the future, which turned out to be a disappointment for its pace and unconvincing suspense. While Leila seems to build intrigue in the trailer, hope it can live up to the hype.
