Internationally acclaimed actor Adil Hussain is once again stretching boundaries to explore world cinema. He will be seen in the third season of Star Trek: Discovery releasing on digital vertical of CBS Television Network.
The actor shared the news on his social media channel recently, sharing his excitement to be part of the project.
Upon announcing his collaboration with the web series, Hussain said “It’s an extremely privileged position I would say. Being [among the] very few people from India to be a part of Star Trek. I am grateful to my agent and also I am very grateful to the directors who’d selected me. [I am] extremely happy to be a part of it and it’s coming out soon.”
Though he cannot reveal much about his character, the National Award winner did describe it as “a fantastic role.”
“And, I am in the space. (chuckles) As you’ve seen in the trailer, I interact with the star of Star Trek, Sonequa Martin-Green, and she is an amazing human being and a fantastic actor I have met. Among the actors that I know, she is the finest human being and actor.”
The new season will premiere in 2020 and available to stream on CBS All Access and Netflix. You can watch the trailer here; it will premiere in 2020.
